About Us

Just fifteen minutes from Worcester city centre, The Flyford is a welcoming, stylish country pub, serving stripped back rustic food, specialising in seafood. A lively bar is the first focal point of the venue, with a country kitchen style restaurant facing onto a hidden restaurant garden. Warm summer evenings can be spent in the open drinkers garden, which serves local cider, craft beers, tiki-style cocktails and fine wines.

With a real focus on quality and seasonal ingredients, The Flyford offers pub classics with a modern twist, with fresh, sustainable seafood specials direct from Wing of St Mawes in Cornwall. The Head Chef Stuart Pretty brings a wealth of experience, having previous tenures at the two AA Rosette South Sands Hotel in Salcombe, Belle House in Pershore and Browns Restaurant in Worcester. Stuart has a very focused ethos on sustainable seafood, citing his food heroes as Rick Stein and Nathan Outlaw.

Head Chef Stuart draws on years of cookery experience serving laidback rustic cuisine with a restaurant twist. He particularly enjoys The Flyford’s daily delivery of fresh lobsters and crabs and these feature on the main menu seasonally.

Stuart Pretty says: ‘Working with such high-quality seafood, makes us a real destination in Worcestershire’ Stuart further adds ‘ As well as delicious seafood, all our fruit and vegetables are grown locally by Worcester Produce, and our meat comes from The Butcheress in Bromsgrove, who farm a lot of their own animals.’

The contemporary, rustic style restaurant and bar is headed up by Bertie Davies, formerly General Manager of the Michelin listed The Daffodil in Cheltenham. The restaurant offers an eclectic wine list, with old world favourites and some very exciting new world wines. Diners and drinkers can enjoy a modern cocktail collection, that has a real emphasis on seasonal ingredients and quality spirits. A fantastically kept cellar offers a wide range of Wye Valley ales, and British and European lagers.

Bertie Davies says: ‘The Flyford is a relaxed dining space, that values good old fashioned service with a modern touch” Bertie also adds “Backed by our extremely talented kitchen, I’m a firm believer that we are at the forefront of the Worcestershire pub dining scene’.

Alongside the beautiful pub and restaurant, there is a dedicated private event space The Dog House. This space seats twelve, and thirty for standing events. A sympathetically restored former bottle shed, The Dog House is an ideal space for drinks receptions, sporting events; with full Sky and BT Sport, private dinners and meeting space.

The Flyford recently launched their “Fly’In Fish” concept, a fish and chip takeaway for the local surrounding area. The Fly’in Fish offers the local community a delicious sustainably sourced fish supper to take away and enjoy at home. Expect the same attention to detail and delicious flavours as the main menu offers!
